;somewhere in a melancholy, down-to-earth state between dream and reality...

Henrica Langh is a transdisciplinary artist and clothing designer inspired by the magic of the ordinary and our delicate existence in this world. She works across different subject areas, incorporating textiles, photography, poetry, and installation into her work. One of her main interests lies in exploring dress as a second skin and an emotional extension of the self.

She is currently doing a practice-led PhD at the University for the Creative Arts. Her research is concered with the phenomenology of intensely evocative garments and how the experience of these can be explored and captured through magical thinking and poetry. Before starting her PhD, she studied MA Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries at Central Saint Martins from which she graduated with distinction in 2018.

She also has a degree in clothing design and textiles which led her to explore clothing as an artisitic medium as well as create her own consciously produced collection of statement pieces and wearable poetry. Her ready-to-wear pieces are born from a combined love of clothing and art, and a desire to create statement pieces with a heart.
