;somewhere in a melancholy, down-to-earth state between dream and reality...

I'm a transdisciplinary artist and PhD researcher inspired by the magic of the ordinary and our delicate existence in this world. My work is process-driven and I let my choice of medium be influenced by the thoughts and feelings I'm exploring through my work. This has resulted in an ongoing dialogue between textiles, photography, poetry, and more recently, immersive installation.

I'm currently doing a PhD at the University for the Creative Arts and my research interests include material culture and emotion, phenomenology, and research through artistic practice. My PhD research is practice-led and is concered with the phenomenology of intensely evocative garments and how our experience of emotionally meaningful garments can be explored and captured through a sense of wonder, magic, and poetry.

Before starting my Research Degree at UCA, I studied MA Applied Imagination in the Creative Industries at Central Saint Martins from which I graduated with distinction in 2018. I also have an undergraduate degree in clothing design and textiles which initially led me to explore clothing as an artisitic medium and create a consciously produced collection of statement pieces and wearable poetry.
